![]() "Bingo Was Her Name-O" - acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas, 12" x 12" Day fifteen! Are we halfway already? Seems like we're just getting started! Lately my eyes are drawn to large animals painted in pop-art colors. Not the actual animals, mind you, but paintings of them! And this particular animal appeals to my cowboy themes this week. So I decided to give it a try. And the result made me smile and filled my studio with vibrant energy! This colorful bovine has feminine energy to me, despite the horns. Perhaps she is balanced in her male and female energy? So I decided to find out what the cow (or bull) means as an animal totem. Cattle represent the masculine and feminine qualities which exist in all people - bulls are bold and unyielding, cows are soft and nurturing. The bovine reminds us to nourish ourselves in all respects (physical, mental, spiritual, creative) and keep ourselves in balance.. Cows are simple beings, satisfied with the simple things in life. If a cow (or bull) is your spirit animal, you are advised to take pleasure in the little things and stop to appreciate the basics. Cow energy brings comfort, grounding, good fortune and a sense of calm and stability. The cow spirit animal brings you insight into past lives...hmmmm. Wonder what this lovely herbivore is trying to tell me? This piece is available, ready for hanging.
