On the thirteenth day, I decided to go BIG!  So this is my largest piece yet.  And WHAT FUN!  It all began with a large abstract in dark and moody colors to suggest the sky at night.  I wasn't initially sure what would appear against the night sky, but during my evening reading (this week the fourth book in Stephen King's Gunslinger series) there was a scene where one of the main characters was riding a horse across a landscape at night.  And it got me thinking of how challenging it would be to ride a horse at night (especially in a realm where there is no electric lighting!)  I am not the most graceful of people, and even walking in the pitch dark is a challenge for me.

Well, you can see where my musings took me!  Onto the back of a sure-footed (and LARGE-footed) bird.  And it got me to thinking a little more...how often do we avoid a new direction because we can't be sure what the path is?  Or because we can't be sure IF there is even a path?  Much of the time, I reckon.

This trusting girl on the back of her interesting steed shed a whole new light (no pun intended) on choosing a path unknown and unseen.  Perhaps all we need is a little imajenation and what we need to carry us safely along will appear.  

For the coming week, I plan to seek the least illuminated (metaphorical) path and see where it leads me.  For actual pathways at night, I plan to use a flashlight.  Clumsy girl, know thyself!
