And then there were chickens.  Not just any chickens, but chickens in jumpers.

Whimsy wonderland continues in the studio, with creatures in various stages on boards strewn about.  The chattering and malarkey is building to a crescendo in there!  Sometimes I close the door and tiptoe away for a little peace and quiet. :)

What is it about chickens that we find so entertaining?  Feathery, clucky, egg-laying birds with bobbing head motions and odd feet.  Chickens have a reputation for being empty headed and fearful in modern culture, but their reputation is quite different around the world.
There are cultures which consider the chicken to represent enlightenment.  The wild chicken is considered to be devoted  and brave.  There is a tender, social, earthy presence to chickens, which choose to be near the ground despite their ability to fly to higher places.

If the chicken is your spirit animal, you're being asked to stay present and avoid worrying about the future.  The chicken suggests you enjoy the gentle touch of loved ones, the sun on your face and the contentment of home.  Add a sprinkle of play, and remember to use your voice - speak your truth and vocalize your emotions.

For you creatives out there, chicken energy helps you become patient and calm in your process, attending to the tiniest of details (chickens are reputed to have excellent near vision).  There are some breeds of chicken which sing a little song with the arrival of each egg - you might want to develop your own vocalized celebration with each finished project.  BaGAWK!  Or maybe a little dance...come on now, you know you want to!

Those stay-in-the-moment eyes. That dew-dropped beak. Those feathery brushstrokes. BaGAWK, Jen!

Dotty! Thank you. A chicken has never blushed so much! Your words are the greatest gift. :)

Gotta share this with my cousin who is truly a chicken lady! As a spirit animal, it sounds just like her! She loves her chicks!

Oh chickens! We have one that visits every morning when I feed the yard cats. Bella or as we call he Bellush! She is bold and sassy and loves cat food.
Love that cocky attitude! And that jumper to dye for!

She scares the cats away and eats from their dishes! I have to give her her seeds before the cats. LOL She is not afraid of Lily my dog as well.

Here's the blue wild, where
tiny dreamers ride beasts, speak
