The day after...a day for reflection, rest, recharging batteries and digesting all I've learned over the past thirty days.
It's always a shock to see all thirty pieces together at the end of the challenge. Even though the styles and subjects are varied, I can see cohesion - more so than in prior challenges. But what I really look forward to is seeing the sum total of other creatives at the end of this month. I have learned so much from them and their shared processes. So I will leave you with one more quote before I dive into a few days of hermit mode: "...what we really gain from the art making of others is courage-by-association. Depth of contact grows as fears are shared - and thereby disarmed - and this comes from embracing art as a process, and artists as kindred spirits." From Art & Fear. And without further ado, I must now heed the call of bossy queens in the studio and begin to make the morning tea.

Oh for Pete's sake, did I not comment on this two days ago? I have been feeling decidedly crazed for the past couple of days, mostly because of computer woes that have me dazed and confused!

Dotty! How perfect! Just as I was feeling sad that 30 in 30 was over, missing the company of other artists and the daily connection of our creating - here you are with a lovely comment! You made this morning extra wonderful. Cannot wait to hear how Art & Fear impacts your creative self...

Love how the kings and queens are peeping through the trees! Yes it always amazes me to see how they merge together each a compliment to the other.

Thanks so much, Carol! I had so much fun this time, I can hardly wait until September to do it all again. :)
