Inigo: That Vizzini, he can fuss.

Fezzik: Fuss, fuss...I think he like to scream... at us.

Inigo: Probably he means no harm.

Fezzik: He's really very short on... charm.

Inigo: You have a great gift for rhyme.

Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.

Vizzini: Enough of that!

Inigo: Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?

Fezzik: If there are, we all be dead!

Vizzini: No more rhymes now, I mean it!

Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?

Vizzini: DYEEAAHHHHHH!!

"Bathing Beauty" - pen and ink on paper, 18" x 12".  Inquiries.
There is a malarkey deficit going on in the world.  Can you feel it?  An empty space needing a fit of laughter, a good guffaw and a heart-felt chuckle.  When I read Fezzik's line "anybody want a peanut?" I just can't help but giggle.  So ridiculous!  And absolutely perfect.

Yesterday was a magic mojo-filled gathering of fun-seeking creatives during the" Rebel Doodlers - Happy Pelicans" workshop.  We came, we created, we laughed, and then disbursed, taking our groovy good vibes out into the world.  I like thinking of all these outrageous birds flying about the world now spreading malarkey.  Is there a malarkey ambassadorship?

What is truly astounding and uplifting to me is that each of these humans set aside a time to play.  How often do we do that?  Such an act of true love for self and for the inner child in each of us.  A little valentine.

So here is my early Valentine to you, dear reader!  Leave a comment describing what you've done recently to play.  If you are having an "aha" moment right now, realizing you haven't played at all, tell us what you are going to do to fix that!

All the names will go into a hat, and one lucky duck will receive the class mascot, Wilbur (left) in the mail.  The winner will be revealed in tomorrow's blog post.

What are you waiting for?  Ready? Set? GO!

First of all Princess Bride!!! An all time fav! I try to make play a part of my regular routine. Yesterday I played during my 30/30 painting and got lost in the fun making. Sometimes just playing is the key to my creativity.

play...oh what a fun four-letter word or is it really a fore-word??? before we learned how to speak we would engage others in play to socialize....yay!! what fun!! the pre-speaking action!!
I so enjoyed the frolicking with the pelicans....more playing is in my future definitely.....my whole outlook was enlightened!!

Play? Did you say, Play? Why, whoever doesn't find the time to play at something? Teaching the art class was great fun on Wednesday, the prep is work - but helping people de-stress and let go - perfect JOY! Then there is this thing called a 30 day Challenge - got me playing with my paints and I love it! :)

Playing playing with Topaz textures and filters. Click click click and the image is transformed. Now to play with real paint! There's a challenge going on.
