November already?

"Beaming", "Queen of Pouts", "Belle",  "Lana" and "Norbert" -  each 22" x 5.5" mixed media on repurposed fence wood.  Ready to hang.  Inquiries.

November ALREADY?  And so it begins...our last month here in south Florida AND the beginning of the holidays.  I am going to need an extra pot of coffee.:)

Thanks to the amazing team of hubby and Pongo, I'll be at the 32nd Annual North Palm Beach Arts & Crafts Festival this Saturday for the third consecutive year. There is nothing quite like a hundred talented crafters and artisans packed into a community center to get you thinking about putting up the Christmas tree. EEEK!  NOT YET!  Pongo needs more practice with the ornaments.

And The Art of Illustration, featuring The Storyteller's Apprentice, is going up at ArtServe today.  If you're in the area, I'd love to see you next Thursday evening for the reception.  More on that next week.

But now, let's pause for a moment before the month runs wild with busyness and enjoy the soothing sounds of baby raccoons....Pongo got into a tussle with one last week, and is trying to convince us they are very, very scary. :)

Jen, will you move to Oregon in December???

Repurposed fence wood: awesome!

Saturday's Festival sounds grand—I envision that you, Beaming, Queen of Pouts, Lana, Norbert, Bell, and 99 fellow artists/craftspeople will have a wild and wonderful day. Tough on you physically? Build in restorative pauses throughout, dear friend.

Dotty! Yes, we will be "home" for the holidays!

The fence wood is courtesy of my dear husband, who knows how much I love painting on wood. So he grabs it from the curb when folks have their fences replaced. So much TEXTURE!

Saturday will be grand!! And tough, yes. Lots of breaks, then Sunday with ice packs. It's the last one! I can DO IT!

North Palm.. You are going to be in my neck of the woods. I will try to check it out before heading to the Day of the Dead festival in Lake Worth. It sure it will be a fantastic show for you.

Wow, Thanksgiving in Florida, Christmas in Oregon! What lovely fence art! Together they could be a wall devider! Tell Longs not to mess with the racoons, they have sharp teeth!

Oh Carol, now you have me thinking about room dividers! But that is a BIG project, and will have to wait until....next year. :)

Pongo now knows raccoons are not his play toys! But he is still so fascinated by them. Well, I enjoy watching them, too. So maybe it's my fault after all???
