Wow, this post and painting are so close to my bone it hurts in a weirdly good way. Before I read this, I taped these words from the Bible up by my desk: "Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it - because it does." Not easy, but bone close and necessary.

Carol! "Hurts in a weirdly good way" - yep. An exquisite resonance! And the quote you have by your desk - I am teary reading that. It is everything. "Bone close and necessary" - yes. And so very hard. Sending hugs. xoxoxoxo

" joy and sadness rise" needed those words today! Feelings that I feel every day! Allowing me to feel them both! WoW those eyes. So penetrating!

Nepos "The ache of being alive" resonates with me. So glad you could share Carr-Betts' work with us, peculiar in a good way indeed. In "Walking close to the bone" she sees right through our core. By the way I love how you link your blog from your newsletter.

Sylvia! Nepo has a way of getting into those places that we didn't even know needed attention. And Carr-Betts' work just feels so ALIVE! I love it.
